CIVIL WAR WEEKEND - March 28-30, 2008 Formed in 1848, Putnam County was named after General Israel Putnam, a Revolutionary War hero. Much of the land here was surveyed by George Washinton and while we remain very proud of our history, we also are a progressive county with much to offer our visitors. |
